If I can dream it, I can do it.

The last 2 days was fun for me because i did high jump! and hurdles!
I did well as the competing field was weak.

My 400mH timing was 2 secs off that one I ran in sec 4. So going NS never really build me up in track timings. This surprise win was exciting. I was in lane 3 followed by a tall guy in lane 4 and another one in lane 5. As the inner lane i'm starting behind them. When I pushed off the line I quickly realise I was too fast for those 2 guys because I caught up with them on my middle-dist spikes. So I deliberately followed behind them through the hurdles and I watched one of them crashing off after hurdling over and once the outer guy just braked and embraced the hurdle with both hands at the 200m mark. I was not going very fast since that experience in sec 4. Then I cruised through the first 200m too fast and was panting pathetically at 300m.
At 300m, the outer guy crashed once again and it was me and the guy on my right to hit the finish mark. The whole last 100m straight stretch I was chasing him. I noticed he was struggling real bad in the last couple hurdles. He got past the last hurdle first. Once I glided past the final one, I sprinted with all the energy in the best form I can manage and pipped him by 0.05 sec.
Ahh... I remembered I lost to my dear Yuk Long tracker mate during Tanglin Sec's 400mH with an even smaller margin.

Reflections:
Should've worked on 400m rounds and hurdling form. Mr Tham was the specialist in this event. He ran for S'pore in SEA GAMES as well. I saw him demo the hurdle run-through and he was just like taking a simple jump over a tiny drain.

For the high jump, I've got full of excuses hahaha...Just too drained out to do the strengthening workout after camp work. Got a silver nevertheless. I'd go for Wings Club after ORD :)

I can do it, I know.
